It is made from natural fresh quince fruits grown in the foothills of the Ararat valley.
This is a delicious white semisweet wine for those wishing to try something unusual. Quince, which grows only in a favorable warm climate and on well-moistened soil, has an acid-sweet, slightly astringent taste, reminiscent of both an apple and a pear.
The quince wine of TM Kilikia is made according to the classical wine technology without the addition of sugar. Crushed fruits are fermented and macerated in galvanized tanks, after which the wort is kept in oak barrels for at least six months.
The finished wine has a golden, amber color. Wine from quince has a slightly tart taste, which contrasts with pronounced fruit-floral notes. The aftertaste is stable, rich and juicy with soft floral tones.
The quince wine of Cilicia is perfectly combined with soft types of cheese, dishes from white meat and dessert.
